About us

EEDOS is a private counselling practice designed to offer a holistic approach to treating and supporting eating disorder sufferers, their families and carers.

We know that many factors will have led to your present struggles and that there is not a simple single solution. Nutrition, lifestyle, behavioural interventions, planning, problem solving, self-talk, cognitive and or emotional healing are just a few of the areas we will work with you on.

Training, qualifications & experience

At EEDOS we are specifically trained to help you. We are experienced counsellors with accredited training by British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). We have worked in the field of eating disorders for many years, and have been awarded Master Practitioner in Eating Disorders and Obesity by National Centre For Eating Disorders (NCFED).

We work closely with Beat, the UKs leading charity in eating disorders, facilitating both local support groups and on line forums.

To add to our skill set, we are also trained in CBT, NLP and EFT. We are full members and registered with BACP and abide to their code of ethics.

With our combination of qualifications, experience and training we believe that EEDOS can offer something different and unique for you to sustain long term change and recovery.

Further information

It is important to us that we work ethically and if appropriate, as part of a team.

This could mean liaising with your Doctor, other medical professional, nutritionist, dietitian etc. We would always discuss the relevance of each case with you and seek permission to share information by asking you to sign a Consent To Share Information form. You are in no way obligated to do this and have every right to decline. However, if we feel unable to work with you alone due to either physical or mental health risks we may refer you to another service if you so wish.
