Ese Agambi (Bsc.Hons, Higher Dip, MBACP)
Welcome to Cultivating ME.
Life naturally presents with the propensity to challenge us. Perhaps you feel lost, stuck with what way to turn, or maybe you feel you are repeating patterns of behaviour or ways of thinking that does not benefit you. Perhaps you feel depressed, struggle with anxiety, low self esteem and self worth, or struggle to communicate and/or connect with your feelings.
Acknowledging and actively taking the step to access support is a courageous decision and movement in the right direction. Having a good support network is really helpful but sometimes can be difficult to express the depth of your feelings for fear of judgment, upsetting or hurting those close to you perhaps. Having the space to talk openly, confidentially to someone who will listen with empathy and understanding can be helpful.
It is my desire to help and support individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges who are working towards, or have the inclination to take control of their lives by addressing these challenging issues. Through the therapeutic process, together we will negotiate strategies and tap into your inner resources.
As your counsellor/psychotherapist I will assist you on your journey to psychological and emotional wellbeing. This is achieved through reflective exploration and by creating a safe space for you to express yourself freely through acceptance; being non-judgemental, conveying understanding and empathy. This will facilitate the process of delving into self introspectively which shall in turn foster the realisation of your divine potential.
In doing so you will gain a sense of empowerment, fulfilment and confidence in the choices that you make; it will lead you to take personal responsibility of your decisions by regaining your power through our therapeutic relationship.
When working with you, I will ensure that I consider different aspects of you to have an understanding of the issues being presented to support your wellbeing. I am qualified as a person centred therapist which is rooted in the belief that we all have the capacity to intrinsically find our own answers, in addition to having an approach that is wholistic in nature due to the varied experiences and settings I have worked in. I am also able to explore with you the transpersonal, which attends to the spiritual elements of life if you choose to. I acknowledge the importance of ones spiritual practice in daily life and I understand that all individuals, clients or otherwise need their particular beliefs honoured. Whether you are religious, spiritual or something in-between as one of my clients I will respect your views.
I provide face to face and online video call counselling if appropriate on a short term basis (6-12 sessions) as well as long term open ended counselling.
You are more than welcome to get in touch with me for a free 15 minute consultation/informal conversation about any questions or concerns you may have on how we might work together. Please get in touch by emailing or calling me and I shall endeavour to respond within 24 hours.
