I aim to offer You a safe, warm, openminded and empathic space to explore Your thoughts, feelings and deeper inner world. Talking to someone who listens actively about your issues and reflect them back can help you see things in a different light and with fresh perspectives. I believe you have the potential to grow towards your desires and the answers how to do so inside of you. We work together towards your goals. I’m a fully qualified, experienced, BACP registered, integrative and multicultural counsellor with several years experience working in NHS, a homeless charity and in the private sector. I’m also a certified hypnotherapist and teacher in creative writing. Issues I have experience working withinclude but are not limited to:
Abuse (sexual, emotional, mental, financial, physical), Addiction (sex, love, substances), Anxiety (general, social, phobias), Bereavement, Depression, Gender identity, Hoarding, Homelessness, Low Self Esteem, Relationship and Sexual issues, and more.
Being an integrative counsellor means I draw from different modalities to best help you as every person is different and unique. Some of these are person centred, psychodynamic, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, CBT, gestalt and creative writing as a therapeutic tool.

As an integrative counsellor I draw on many different modalities depending on the needs of the client. I have experience working short-term in NHS, Long term and open-ended in a charity for the homeless and in the private sector. I've worked with solution focussed approaches such as hypnotherapy or CBT as well as with the person-centred and psychodynamic models.
I incorporate creative writing, dreams and free association and am partial to inviting the body and mindfulness to the work. Most of all I believe trust and the relationship is the most important factor in any therapeutic healing.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
