Erica Fortuna MNCS (Accred), Therapy for Adults, Young Adults and Children
25 Wansunt Road
I offer individual counselling to adults, young adults and children at my private practice, Golden Steps Counselling in the Bexley area. I use an integrative approach using Person-Centred, Cognitive and Psychodynamic models of counselling, focusing on the empowerment to make the choices and changes desired in your life. I also offer Play Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) for a variety of issues including PTSD , trauma and phobias. I can offer Homeopathy with if required as a separate consultation.
I have a background in Teaching, Specific Learning Difficulties and Homeopathy. I have experience in and work as a counsellor in primary and secondary schools. I am also a counsellor at BCU Lifeskills Centre in Bexleyheath, a charitable trust providing counselling and support for adults who have experienced difficulties with mental health, neglect, violence and domestic abuse.
At times in our lives, we find ourselves stuck. At these times, counselling provides a safe space for you to find yourself, to explore and discuss things that no longer work for you. Counselling can help us to look how past events keep us stuck in the present, and help us to see a way to go forward in our life.
I can help with issues around abuse, anxiety, issues around school/work, anger, family dynamics, changes in family dynamics and life, historical childhood issues, assertiveness, identity, bereavement and loss, bullying, coercive control, mental health issues, phobias, communication, self-confidence, self-esteem, self-harm, depression, relationships, stress, trauma, PTSD and more.
I offer a supportive and nurturing space where you can find the gold in your being, at your pace, and where you are invited to empower yourself to make the changes you would like in your life. If this sounds like something you would like, then please contact me for an initial assessment to see if you would like us to work together.
