About me
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. Please do have a look at my website for more in-depth information.
If you feel ready to seek counselling, we will initially meet for a FREE 30 minute assessment to ensure you feel comfortable with me as your counsellor but also for me to get a little insight into you and your background.
At the helm of Griffin Integrated Counselling, I provide dedicated psychotherapy and mental health counselling. I have built a practice grounded in compassion and innovation, catering to a diverse clientele with challenges ranging from anxiety to trauma.
Recognising the unique journey of each individual, I have developed a supportive environment that fosters healing and personal growth.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have been a fully qualified counsellor for over 7 years with a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative), which was awarded by the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).
Before embarking on my career as a counsellor, I worked for 14 years within the NHS working in Children & Families Services. I went onto work within Adult Mental Health alongside the Service Manager. This gave me an extensive look at the behind scenes of Mental Wellbeing and the services out there. I then decided I wanted to look into becoming a counsellor.
I went on to 4 years of training whilst completing extensive training with Dorset Rape and Childhood Sexual Abuse Centre. I then had a role within Poole NHS Maternity Department working with baby loss, grief and trauma.
Alongside this, I built my Private Practice which has now been successful for over 7 years and I work solely in my practice in Ashley Cross.

- Anxiety
- Panic Attacks
- Low Mood/Depression
- Abortion
- Miscarriage

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
