About me
You may feel you are not getting the most out of your life and are unsure why this is. You may feel stuck, perhaps you feel it's hard to feel good about yourself. Relationships may not be as fulfilling as you would like. You may relish the opportunity to make a real commitment to your personal growth and practically you may need the convenience of working online or via the telephone (F2F not available). Often my way of working appeals to those who are interested in the arts and/or the spiritual realm and those who appreciate deeper ways of working, in safe and supportive relationship.
I can help you understand why you respond as you do, enabling you to make the changes you desire. I work with dreams, imagery, and clinical intuition to help you find the answers and freedom you seek. I integrate psychodynamic, Jungian and psychoanalytic practice, focusing on relatedness, the unconscious, and the transpersonal/spiritual.
If you are ready to start the journey towards positive change, email me for an initial appointment. Here we explore your needs and how we can work together to enhance your life. In this session you have the opportunity to ask me questions about how it may work for you, and explore any concerns you may have.
Training, qualifications & experience
I initially trained as a counsellor in the late 80’s; working in private practice and for voluntary organisation with young people for almost 10 years. Then I primarily focused on a spiritual path; working with intuition and spiritual development using the tarot. I have recently further developed my psychotherapy skills and I am offering psychotherapy again, this service does not include the use of the tarot, I offer that elsewhere (tarot-guidance.co.uk).
In psychotherapy, I can help you walk your own unique path by walking alongside you and using my skills to help you discover more of yourself and make changes if you desire. I have a strong Jungian and analytic approach and incorporate attachment, Gestalt and TA theories in my therapeutic work.
I adhere to the BACP ethical framework in my psychotherapeutic work. I am a clinical associate member of the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy (WMIP)
Personal therapy
I have had several sets of personal therapy – including 2 years psychoanalysis in 1990, 4 years psychosynthesis in 2006, Jungian analysis in 2018 to present. I believe personal analysis enables me to be a robust therapist enabling me to work effectively at depth. Also I understand, first hand, the courage it takes to really look at ourselves and make changes, also the immense rewards from doing so, finding a more authentic joyful life in the process.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
