Clinical Psychologists specialise in assessing people's difficulties and needs and advising on the most appropriate form of treatment. I am trained in a number of different approaches to suit your individual needs and goals.
I can help with a wide range of issues. My areas of expertise include: Anxiety disorders, Depression, Coping with physical health problems, Eating disorders, Relationship and Sexual health difficulties, Trauma, Grief and loss.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist who has worked for the NHS since 2004. I have worked with adults, older children/adolescents, families and couples in a range of different services including adult mental health and eating disorders. In recent years I have focused on helping people adjust and cope with physical health conditions including chronic pain. I can help people manage symptoms and treatment as well as the impact on mental health, family, relationships, self-esteem, identity and work.
I have trained in a number of therapeutic approaches and regularly use Acceptance and Commitmebt Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) among others.
