About me

Hello there and welcome to my page,

My name is Emma,

I know that sometimes in life you may come across difficulties, an event or trauma that may cause you to lose your footing or it may shake your confidence. You may be feeling lost and unsure of how to move forward, these are all things I can help you with.

I also understand that taking the first steps towards therapy can be a daunting process and maybe even a fear of the unknown, it is my aim to help put you at ease.

My main focus is to provide a warm and judgement free space to help you heal and find your way in life. I achieve this by providing a friendly, safe space, listening to your concerns, and combining different types of therapy to help you achieve your goals.

I have experience working with clients face to face, online via video and also by telephone, I am happy to work on whichever platform you feel most comfortable with.

I have worked as an integrative counsellor for 5 years. I have volunteered at a GP surgery and also became a director of a domestic violence counselling organisation, this has provided me with a wide variety of experience with different and often complex issues. I have also spent 2 years working with an EAP service helping employees through their difficulties.

Below are some of the issues I have worked with:

  • Depression.
  • Dissociation.
  • Shame.
  • Guilt.
  • Fear.
  • Phobias.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
