About me

Hello, I'm Emma, a qualified person-centred counsellor in the Bolton and North Manchester area. As a person-centred therapist, I work in a non-directive way providing a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.

We all need to talk - especially when we’re struggling. Sometimes we need somebody to be alongside us in our sadness, pain or emotional discomfort, and to support us in finding a way out of the darkness. While those around us can be supportive, we often worry about being judged or might feel like we're being a burden.

I can provide a safe space for you to truly be yourself and experience the benefits of talking and the power of feeling truly heard. By listening, understanding and accepting you and everything you bring, I hope to help you to understand and accept yourself. It is my belief that you hold the answers to your own questions and issues, but it isn't always easy to figure out those answers on your own. I would like to support you in exploring the feelings you have, and moving towards a place which feels happier, calmer and clearer.

I work at your pace, and together we can look at what is most important to you and hopefully gain insight into what is causing your unhappiness. This can be a difficult process, but also one which can help you begin to truly heal.

It's important that you're able to find the right therapist for you, so get in touch to arrange a free, no-obligation telephone conversation and we can have a chat about how I might be able to help you.
