About me

I provide Psychotherapy and Counselling to individual clients and have worked in private practice in West London for 20 years, delivering both open-ended and time-limited therapy, and supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists. I also work with trainee psychotherapists and counsellors.

An initial session with clients to assess need and to talk through recommendations on next steps is essential to my practice, and to ensure that the model of therapy I work in is the most suitable for a client. Specialist areas of work include: Assessment, Working with young adults, Trauma and Critical Incident Response, Psychological First Aid, Workplace Consultancy, Professional Support/Supervision and EAP experience. In addition to my work in private practice I have experience of working in a clinical setting as a Supervisor, Clinical Manager and Head of Clinical Services. I have served on the Board of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist at WPF Therapy in London on their Postgraduate Advanced Diploma course, qualifying in 2001. I trained and qualified as a Supervisor at WPF Therapy in 2008 and have a Certificate in Understanding Trauma from the Tavistock and Portman NHS, completed in 2016.

I have been Accredited with BACP since 2002, have a DBS Certificate, and am registered with ICO.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
