About me

Reaching out to someone else is brave and takes courage. I provide a safe place for you to explore whatever is on your mind and listen without judgement. You may feel stuck, sad, or you may be struggling with life circumstances, together we can find ways to help you move forward. Sometimes fear and anxiety becomes a huge issue in life and can cause a block.  Counselling maybe just what you need.

I am currently offering an introductory session on zoom for free, this session is thirty minutes long.  Afterwards, you may choose counselling in the room or on zoom.  My counselling room is in Wimborne,  and after the introductory session, the room may be an option.

A little about me. I have lived in different countries, which has given me an understanding of different cultures, I have worked in pastoral care for over twenty years and have provided relationship skills training to students for seven years helping them with relationship issues.

I am a qualified counsellor and have experience working with young people and adults with a range of different issues. I first trained in the humanistic, specifically the person-centred modality which helps me to treat you as a unique person.  I then completed a BA (Hons) degree in integrative counselling, specialising in developmental trauma.  I work creatively to help you sort through some of your thoughts and behaviours. I draw from models such as (CBT) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, (TA) Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness and Gestalt Therapy.

Counselling can sometimes be difficult but together we can focus on your goals and the rewards can be life changing.  I see individual clients one to one for both short and long term work and I see couples.

Although I work from a Christian worldview, my own life experiences help me to understand and respect people with different worldviews.
