Feeling anxious, generally low and not yourself?
Life has a funny way of surprising you, not always with welcome events. Maybe the loss of a loved one, stresses at work, unhealthy relationships or anxiety levels higher than usual?
I provide a non-judgemental and safe environment for you to share your troubles.
I mainly use the person centred approach, along with a more structured approach, talking and reflecting certain feelings in the here and now, also certain behaviour patterns that lead to these feelings.
I am here to listen to you.
We are all individuals and not one of us has had the same life experiences or shares the same brain functions, so why should one certain therapy or approach cure all?
I certainly don’t have all the answers, but I have training and experience on how to aid a therapeutic process where we can begin to make sense of negative feelings together. Instead of pretending to know what’s best for you, I instead aim to facilitate the process and listen to you as well as combine certain behaviours patterns to come up with an approach designed just for you, the individual.
Together we can work through your negative feelings and find a stronger, happier path to enjoy life again.
Training, qualifications & experience
ABC level four accredited diploma in Person centred Counselling, BA degree in Sociology,
I have obtained a level four accredited diploma in 2008, and have also had four years experience working for Macmillan in two different sites specialising in bereavement and palliative cases. My work for Macmillan has been insightful and rewarding, we are all bereaved in some way whether it be the loss of a loved one, our health, our youth or something else.
I have worked with young children in a supportive role in a NHS care home, where art and play and talking therapies were used to help the children feel heard and feel safe again.
More importantly I have gained the knowledge and insight into how to make people feel at ease in my company and show empathy and unconditional positive regard towards the individual.
I am a registered member of the BACP in which I abide by their code of ethics.

I offer telephone and internet counselling. There is a fifteen minute complimentary introduction to these therapies to see if we can work together.
