Dr Emma Diamond
Dr. Emma Diamond (B.Sc, PGDip, DClinPsy, CPsychol) is an experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist who has practiced for over 15 years, with children, young people, adults and senior citizens.
She provides assessment and psychological therapy, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), for mild, moderate and severe emotional or mental health difficulties from her independent practice in Bushey, Hertfordshire.
**Due to the pandemic, sessions are currently only taking place via telephone or online video.**
Training, qualifications & experience
Dr. Diamond is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist (CPsychol) with the British Psychological Society (BPS), and she is registered with the The Health & Care Professionals (HCPC). She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psy) in 2009.
Dr. Diamond has extensive training and experience in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and completed her post qualification specialist training in CBT at the Institute of Psychiatry, a centre of excellence for CBT. She is a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).
Dr. Diamond has extensive clinical experience working with people across the age range, including children, adults and senior citizens.
She is experienced in working with children, young people and their families and has worked at a senior level, as a Principal Clinical Psychologist in CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services).
Dr. Diamond has worked in the following areas of Clinical Psychology :
- CAMHS 'Tier 3' teams.
- CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team (including ASD/ADHD).
- Adult Mental Health including IAPT, CMHTs and inpatient wards.
- Older People’s Mental Health including CMHTs, memory clinics and inpatient wards.
- Medium Secure Units.
- Early Intervention in Psychosis Team.
- Eating Disorders Team.
- Acquired Brain Injury hospital rehabilitation ward.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
