About me

I welcome all people who feel they would like to explore issues that are bothering them, whether this is going deep into the past, keeping it to the ‘here and now’, or even working creatively on how they might view the world, themselves and their place in it.

I work intuitively and sensitively to help you with the many myriad challenges life can throw our way at times. Change can happen, we cannot change the past but we can change how we feel about ourselves in the world and reframe the past in order to gain clarity and power over our present and future.

With a background in bodywork, I sometimes introduce meditation or mindful work into the sessions, only if you are open to exploring this.

My first session

In the first session, we can get to know each other and work out if sessions for you might be what you are looking for. This will be an informal chat, to try and establish if your needs can be met by sessions with me. It usually quite easy to get a feel for whether you’d like to work with a therapist.

Sometimes talking about aims and goals may be useful, but not everybody is always sure of what they might need with therapy so this can be kept open and the intention of the sessions will become apparent as time goes on.

What I can help with:

Abuse, ADHD, Anxiety, Bereavement, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Gender, Identity issues, Long-term illness, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Sex-related issues, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women’s issues, Work related issues.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)
  • Level 7 Integrative Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • Various workshops working creatively in counselling, with couples, with ADHD and neurodiversity.
  • BA hons Fine Art
  • Massage and Bodywork (MTI) Holistic

I have been working with a wide range of counselling clients for 3 years now. For the past 12 years, I have been a bodyworker and a teacher of Holistic bodywork. This mind-body connection very much informs my work with clients. The more we are aware of how our body cannot deceive us and how our minds sometimes can, the more control we can have over how we feel both physically and emotionally.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
