About me

Qualified Therapeutic Counsellor | Supporting Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Addiction & Neurodivergence

Helping You Move Forward, One Step at a Time

Life can feel overwhelming, especially when anxiety, low self-esteem, or past experiences hold you back. You may feel stuck, unsure of how to move forward, or exhausted from trying to manage everything on your own. I offer a calm, safe, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and coping strategies.

Who I Help

I work with adults who are experiencing:
✔ Anxiety & Overthinking – feeling on edge, stuck in worry cycles, or overwhelmed
✔ Low Self-Esteem & Confidence – struggling with self-doubt or self-criticism
✔ Addiction & Unhealthy Coping Strategies – wanting to break free from harmful patterns
✔ Neurodivergence (Autism & ADHD) – supporting self-understanding & emotional wellbeing
✔ Relationship Challenges – difficulties with boundaries, communication, or past trauma

My Approach

As a person-centred counsellor, I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to support and guide you in a way that feels right for you. Our sessions will be led by what you need, whether that’s understanding your emotions, developing coping tools, or processing past experiences. If helpful, I also draw on therapeutic techniques, mindfulness, and solution-focused approaches to support you in managing anxiety and breaking unhelpful thought patterns.

What to Expect

✔ A supportive and accepting space to explore your thoughts and feelings
✔ A deeper understanding of yourself and your emotions
✔ Practical strategies to manage anxiety, self-doubt, or overwhelm
✔ Empowerment to make positive changes at your own pace

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

I participate in regular training and I am about to start my level 5 in working somatically with trauma so I will be incorporating this aspect into my work with clients.

I also have:

  • Level 3 Counselling Studies
  • Level 2 Counselling Skills
  • Level 2 SEND
  • Level 2 Safeguarding

I have worked in the mental health field for many years which led to me training to be a counsellor. I participate in regular online and in person training and have lived experience of neurodivergence.

I am fully insured and DBS checked.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
