About me
Counsellor/Psychotherapist , Certified Autism Specialist, Consultant & Neurodiversity-Affirming Educator.
What can I help you with?
If you are reading my profile because you are Neurodivergent or you have a Neurodivergent loved one or colleague, you have come to the right place! One of the most difficult aspects of being Neurodivergent can be managing social situations and personal relationships. I have many years of experience helping others through the pain of isolation, being misunderstood, and being judged by others. I know how damaging it can be to live in a world where you feel like you don't fit in. But there are ways to survive and thrive, and I would like to help you do exactly that.
I am a professional counsellor and psychotherapist with qualifications, accreditations, and international experience, but I am first and foremost a human being. Together, we will explore your life problems and find solutions.
It's not just that I'm not like other therapists - I'm not like most people either! I am somewhat quirky, humorous, and blunt at times. As a result of growing up thinking differently, I have gained insight into aspects of human experience that others do not perceive. As a result of studying human behaviour, I have developed exceptional pattern recognition skills. I am able to see what others miss because of my unique differences.
Over the course of my adult life, I have travelled for work as well as relocated several times to different countries. This experience enhanced my appreciation and respect for individual and cultural diversity. It also gave rise to my specific interest in the challenges people face with important life events, relocation, and settling in different cultures.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
