About me
Hello there! My speciality is working with students or graduates (16+) and their self-conscious issues. Your struggle may look like imposter syndrome & procrastination, perfectionism & anxiety, high sensitivity & giftedness, body image & eating disorders, shame & low self-value, anxiety & intrusive thoughts, career & money worries, sex & relationship issues. Or simply a feeling of discomfort in your own skin. I can be with you where you’re at, whether your needs are clear or confused, & whether it’s a relief or a challenge to open up. Maybe you want help navigating a difficult period in your life or are seeking a more open-ended exploration of who you are, where you fit & what you want from life.
If you need someone to listen to your hopes, be open to your confusion, support you in making changes, or simply be with you in your despair, I could be that person. I don’t assume I know you or what you need, but I can keep showing up and hearing where you’re at on a human level. You’ll find me open-minded and down to earth as a person, and willing to work with whatever you need to bring, however deeply you need to go.
Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a qualified therapist & registered member of the BACP. I have over a decade of experience working with HE & FE students, including mature learners, international students, boarders, postgraduates, researchers and neuro-diverse learners. I know the exam system and have personal experience of study up to PhD level.
I’m further qualified to work with ASC students and enjoy supporting those who are diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or suspect they might be autistic. On addition anyone who identifies as highly sensitive or feels the struggle of not knowing quite where they fit, is very welcome.
I use a Gestalt approach which aims to deepen awareness of the thoughts, feelings, body-states and inter-relational dynamics that make up our experience of life. I have a background in Indian and Existential philosophy. I'm open to exploring deeper spiritual issues with you about who you are, where you belong, or what your meaning and purpose in life might be. I have further experience in coaching/ mentoring students, so can help you review your life, experiment with new habits and think about your goals too!
I’m very happy to have a call with anyone who feels drawn to my profile, but I have particular experience in working with students and those undertaking projects, going through transition times, or wanting to make shifts in their life.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
