Do you sometimes feel like a tangled ball of string, your thoughts and emotions all knotted up? Maybe you feel like a bottle of fizzy pop, all shook up ready to explode? Perhaps you feel foggy and lost or unable to quite put your finger on what you are feeling, but you know it's not quite right for you? Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Bereavement and Life Events can all affect how we feel. Sometimes there might not be a reason for why we are feeling a certain way. That's okay. We can work together to untangle the knots, settle the bubbles and clear the fog. Counselling isn't one size fits all. Together we will find what works for you.
EmPath Counselling offers you empowerment through E-Therapy. It offers you a space to be you. In this space, we will work together to bring change in your life. The pace and content of our sessions will be led by you. Whether we communicate by typing, talking or silence you will be met with honesty, empathy, warmth and a non-judgemental ear.
EmPath Counselling offers Email and Video Conferencing Counselling. It can be confusing and anxiety provoking to chose a Counsellor so EmPath offers a free 20 minute consultation to help you discover if this feels right for you. If you like the thought of Counselling from the comfort of your own home, please contact EmPath Counselling today.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a BACP registered Counsellor.
Previously I have worked in the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service as a Psychological Well Being Practitioner. Before this, I worked as a Recovery Worker for Substance Users in the Criminal Justice system. I also have life experience working in various retail outlets.
My Qualifications are as follows:
PG Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Psychological Well Being Practitioner Status
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
