Dr Emilie Cassell
Hello and welcome!
I am a clinical psychologist with over 14 years experience of working with people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties in the NHS and private sector. Until recently I held a senior post in the NHS and ran a private practice in Surrey my spare time. I then decided to leave the NHS to set up a dedicated therapy clinic in Banstead with a colleague where I offer psychological support to children, young people, adults and families as well as consultation and training to professionals. As a clinical psychologist I am trained to work with people of all ages and abilities and with a wide variety of issues using evidence-based techniques.
In order to do this I draw on:
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Systemic Family Therapy
Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)
This allows me to tailor my therapeutic approach to each individual or family depending on the nature of their issues, their preferences and what is proven to work scientifically and in my experience.
My aim is always to provide and safe and confidential space in which my clients feel able to talk openly about their difficulties and consider new ways of addressing them. I also like to work collaboratively with them to find the approach that suits them best.
If you are concerned about your wellbeing or that of a loved one please feel free to contact me for an informal conversation about how I might be able to help.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
Health and Care Professions Council
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
