About me

I am a Medical Doctor and Psychosexual therapist enabling work in three domains; relationship therapy and the psychological and physical aspects of sexual problems.

Relationship therapy

Wherever you and your partner find yourselves be it battered by the tornado of conflict, on the cold shores of stonewalling, or simply lacking the romance and lust of the early days, relationship therapy can help you attain more loving, supportive and deeply satisfying relationships. You can access therapy as an individual or as a couple.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified as a Specialty Doctor in Sexual Health in 1995 and in recognition of my longstanding contribution to this Specialty I have been awarded the Fellowship of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FFSRH).

The sexual wellbeing of my patients has been at the core of my work ever since I started, which made it a necessity for me to be able to address not only the physical side but also the emotional aspects of sexual well-being; I began training with the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine in 1999, completed my Membership in 2002 (MIPM), and expanded my training in 2013. I currently hold the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy (PGDipPST), and I am accredited by the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT).

Clinical Experience in Body-Mind Medicine

I see patients with sexual health problems, be it physical or psychosexual, within my NHS work, and I have an independent relationship and psychosexual therapy practice.

This means that when I am consulted by an individual or a couple presenting with a sexual difficulty, which often presents as physical in nature, I have the knowledge and the experience to be able to understand fully what the causes are and help untangle the knot of physical, emotional, and socio-cultural factors at play.

I am qualified to treat both the physical and psychological aspects
of sexual difficulties.

Relationship Therapy

I am also qualified to help with relationship difficulties; therapy can help couples attain more loving, supportive and deeply satisfying relationships.

I am a fully licensed medical practitioner revalidated by the General Medical Council.
I subscribe to the COSRT code of ethics and conduct procedures. My annual appraisal ensures that I am externally held to account to maintain my accreditations, reflect on my practice, and keep up to date.

My experience also ensures a safe, professional service, where I work only within the limits of my expertise, and may suggest working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals depending on client's needs.

My work is regularly supervised.
