About me

I am a qualified psychotherapist with MSc Degree in Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapy(including 3rd Wave CBT) I am also a Person Centred Counsellor with BACP Accredited Advanced Diploma. I am on BABCP register and working towards BABCP Accreditation, as well as on BACP Voluntary Accreditation Register.
In my therapeutic work with clients I draw on different modalities depending on clients needs; such as CBT, PC, Acceptance Commitment Therapy-ACT, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness.
Working with couples
I also use  Emotionally Focused Therapy(EFT).
Whatever the modalities I remember that:

“To understand the person we have to look from their point of view” ( Rogers)

It`s usually other`s who tell Us, what we `should do` or `not to do`...  We have been conditioned by significant people in our lives since early childhood, to create our self picture, which very often is in conflict with our inner self( we might even be not aware of it)  This usually impact on the way we think, feel and relate to each others and can be  reflected through our behaviour as well as contribute to our health (emotional, mental and physical)

If you would like to find more
about; Yourself, Others and the World around you as well as to learn more about the way I work, contact me to arrange a free of charge initial session and see if I could help You to change what needs changing and accept what can be accepted.  Maybe you just need to change the way you look at things.

I provide therapy in both; English and Polish languages, in Preston and Manchester

I have experience of working with variety of client’s problems ranging from; self –esteem, stress, depression, anxiety( panic attacks, social anxiety, health anxiety phobias, OCD and others),  borderline personality disorders,  psychosis, addictions, relationship`s and child`s issues and many others.

I believe that it is very important that you find the counsellor that you feel comfortable with and who could help you with your problems

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

I have been working for different counselling agencies, also Private Surgery in Manchester. At present, I work at Cedar House in Preston and in my Private Practice.

I have 10 years experience of issues related to people with mental health and learning difficulties, especially autistic spectrum. I have been working with children as well as teenagers both, as a teacher and as a counsellor at Place2Be and in my private practice, using pay therapy and expressive art therapy.

I have  an understanding  of different cultural and religious issues. Wiecej inf. po polsku na: www.Psychoterapia w Preston

I have great interest in couple therapy-based on Emotionally Focused Therapy-This therapy stresses that adult`s needs are similar to those of children. They are just more reciprocal.  “We live in shelter of each other” We used to have all village for support,  nowadays we have to relay on each other for support. We need emotional connection to loved ones to feel secure, happier ,healthier, etc.  Negative relationships undermine our self value, our health and effect our independence. We all need to know that there is somebody, we can reach to and that he/she will respond to us when we need them
