I am an experienced counsellor and offer a flexible integrative approach according to your needs. I can help you to understand your emotions and experiences better, and to move forwards in a safe, non-judgemental, supportive environment.
I have worked as a counsellor for 20 years including 12 years in the NHS, and can help with difficulties such as anxiety, relationship problems, depression, grief and stress. Having worked with people with a wide variety of issues, I understand well that everyone is different and that certain counselling styles suit some people more than others, so I use a range of approaches to provide the support that you need.
I specialise in working with childhood abuse; reduction from tranquillizers & sleeping tablets and the emotional impact of living with chronic health problems and disability, from a whole person perspective including coping strategies and adjusting to disability.
I am a UKRCP registered and British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy Accredited Counsellor (MBACP Accred.) and work to their Ethical Framework.
