About me

WHO I AM

My name is Elizabeth (Liz) Lawrence. I am a Counsellor, Counselling Supervisor, Nutrition therapist with particular interest in weight management, eating disorders and disordered eating and behaviour patterns.  I also offer counselling for neurodiversity (ASD, ADHD, ADD and Dyslexia) for children and adults.

I offer professional and empathetic support to help you work through any problems you may be experiencing. I will help you to gain understanding, create solutions, strategies and progress positively. I use an integrative approach, utilising a number of methods to suit your needs. I also offer counselling to adults, young adults and children.

WHAT I DO and HOW IT CAN HELP

I offer effective therapy in a wider variety of areas, including: depression, stress and anxiety, relationship problems, family difficulties, bereavement, social anxieties, addictions and many more. After a long career in teaching, I offer counselling for teachers, young students with exam stress, panic and anxiety around school/university, seeing effective results in teens. I have also worked with mature students making a change in career, those with recent diagnosis of ASD and ADHD .

I work in Chelmsford, in a confidential setting with individuals, couples and groups.

I offer a confidential and non judgmental place in which you can talk about, and explore areas of difficulty in your life. This could be an immediate crisis, such as a relationship breakdown, bereavement, or it may be due to more long term problems such as feeling low, anxious, or depressed, having relationships difficulties, or just feeling a low mood and feeling like something needs to change or if you have had a recent diagnosis that you are struggling to come to terms with.

To find out more about whether counselling could help, please feel free to give me a ring, text or contact me by email to see how I can help. Evening appointments are available.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
