Elizabeth Joy Davis, PgDip, BSc (Hons), MBACP. Brighton & Hove Counsellor.
18A Clermont Road
I am a qualified Humanistic Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), working within the BACP's Ethical Framework. I use Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches as well as elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Gestalt.
So what does this actually mean?
As an Integrative Counsellor, I use elements of various different theories to form a unique approach to counselling. The way I work with each client depends on the issues presented and the number of sessions we have, but above all, it depends on what works best for you.
My aim is to help you feel safe and secure enough to explore and the way we work together will evolve from this exploration.
I have experience working with areas such as anxiety, depression, postnatal depression, OCD, phobias, addiction, abuse, family and relationship issues (including separation & divorce), bereavement, anger, low self esteem and many more.
I offer both short and long term counselling and have daytime and evening appointments available.
I am based in the Brighton Consulting Rooms, which is located next to Preston Park train station. Easily accessible for anyone based in Brighton, Hove, Falmer, Burgess Hill and beyond.
If you would like to speak on the phone or attend an initial meeting, so you can find out more, please get in touch.
