About me

I am a UKCP qualified and registered psychotherapist and counsellor and specialise in therapy for those facing challenges including anxiety and depression before, during and after pregnancy.

To feel genuinely understood and accepted without judgement is a rare experience for most of us. I believe that when we experience complete acknowledgement we can begin to make sense of some of our thoughts and feelings. It is with this purpose of acceptance that I practice.

With this purpose in mind, my work is uniquely personalised to you. I am an experienced Person-Centred psychotherapist, and this combined with my kind and gentle style offers an authentic foundation to foster warm and genuine relationships with my clients. Studying to Masters level was a personal commitment to acquire the knowledge and theory to be able to offer an accomplished and high standard of therapy - the type of therapy I would wish to receive.

My Specialism & Experience
I specialise in providing psychotherapy and counselling for people facing challenges before, during and after pregnancy. I have maternity experience within the NHS, which I combine with my psychotherapy to offer an holistic understanding of perinatal experience, including: Becoming a mother; Pregnancy; (In)Fertility; Pregnancy Complications; Pregnancy loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death); Pregnancy after loss; Surrogacy (becoming parents through); Adoption (becoming parents through); Birth trauma/complications; Termination of pregnancy/abortion; Postnatal depression; Pregnancy and postnatal anxiety.

I have worked for a charity to offer support to those suffering the loss of a pregnancy through miscarriage, termination, stillbirth or neonatal death. I also have extensive experience of providing counselling and psychotherapy for unpaid Carers of friends and family.

Next Steps
Making contact and taking that first step towards therapy can feel daunting and even overwhelming, especially when you are feeling vulnerable. The easiest way to get in touch is via the 'email me' or 'email this counsellor' buttons on this site, as this comes straight to me (I will endeavour to respond within 24 hrs. Please check your spam folder if you haven’t received a response from me).  Or, if you prefer, you can call or text and leave a message on my mobile. I am here when you are ready to make contact.

Location - online
I offer sessions online to anywhere in the UK via Zoom.
