About me

Sometimes, we all need someone to talk to. Whether you're feeling low, anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, therapy provides a confidential and supportive space to explore your thoughts and emotions. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel heard and empowered to navigate life’s challenges. Rather than giving advice, I help you build trust in your own abilities, guiding you in untangling emotional knots that may be holding you back.

I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in private practice and the NHS. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models to tailor treatment to your unique needs. Therapy should reflect who you are and evolve as you do. In our work together, we will explore your experiences, feelings, and behaviours in a space that encourages self-understanding and growth.

I have ten years of experience in psychological studies and am nearing the completion of my Doctoral Training in Counselling Psychology (expected in 2025). I bring a depth of knowledge and flexibility to my practice. I believe the therapeutic relationship is key to healing, providing a space to understand yourself and how you relate to others.

The models that shape my approach include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Identifying and challenging unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours to improve well-being.
  • Relational Psychodynamic Therapy – Exploring how past experiences shape current relationships and emotional responses.
  • Emotion-Focused Therapy – Helping you process and regulate emotions to support healing and personal growth.
I also integrate other approaches based on your evolving needs, ensuring therapy is tailored to you.

I offer free 15-minute initial consultations to give you a chance to share your reasons for therapy, ask me any questions, and get a sense of whether you’d like to work with me as your therapist. Email for more info and to set up.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
