Child Space Counselling (‘CSC’) is for any child or young person who is experiencing emotional distress. Whether it is low self-esteem, depression and mental health concerns or relationship issues with adults or peers, emotional distress can be extremely difficult for a child or young person to deal with. Talking to a trained Counsellor can help the child or young person to process and make sense of this distress, and ultimately to move beyond it to a place of greater emotional wellbeing and resilience.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in counselling children and young people.
I trained with the UK's leading children's mental health charity, Place2Be. HRH The Duchess of Cambridge is the Royal Patron of Place2Be and describes the work of the charity as being transformational in helping children to thrive.
My approach is creative, integrative, combining many different therapeutic approaches, and predominantly child/young person-focused.
I believe that every child and young person has the potential to develop emotional resilience and the capacity to thrive. Trauma and emotional distress can inhibit this potential. Counselling with a trained professional can facilitate emotional healing and wellbeing and enhance the capacity to thrive.
