About me

*Are you a womb twin survivor looking for support?

or

*Do you want the option of working creatively with both body and mind on your healing journey?

Send me a message and I will get back to you to arrange a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. Please check your spam folders if you are waiting on a reply-sometimes my emails end up there. Feel free to read more below. I look forward to connecting, Lisa

For Womb Twin Survivors, take a look at my website link

Maybe you are tired of struggling on your own or you've been trying to get help from people who don't understand? Together we can help you find a deeper sense of connection, acceptance and understanding of yourself and the world around you. This can help you move out of feeling stuck in yourself and give you more confidence with how to relate to the world around you.

Therapy can be an incredibly life affirming and transformational journey. You have taken this courageous step towards finding help, but there are many therapists out there its a little overwhelming! Trust your instinct, go with the profiles you feel drawn to-it is important you find a therapist that is a good fit for you.

Have a read through my profile, if it resonates with you do get in touch via email with any questions. I will get back to you with more information and to help arrange an free consultation call.  You then decide whether you want to confirm a booking and we can then go ahead with a session. I am currently only working online but the advantage of this is that we are not bound by geography.

You may want to bring something specific or you may just need a confidential space to share what is going on for you. Together we can explore the outcomes you are hoping for and navigate paths to find your way there. I am here to hold a safe space for you along your unique journey.

There are options to work both verbally and/or creatively bringing attention to embodied awareness. The body and mind are deeply connected  together can help us to experience more balance in our lives. Our mind is doing its best to protect us from danger at all times. The beauty about working creatively and with the body is that it enables us to create awareness for where we are stuck and bring new insight and 'aha' moments that we can't always access when we are focusing on our experience verbally.  This helps us to make choices about how we want to move forward.

Sessions can be incredibly valuable for clients wanting to process life experiences from the pre-verbal phase like womb twin survivors or vanishing twin survivors etc.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Private practitioner with ADMP UK since 2011
  • MA Dance Movement Psychotherapy 2011
  • Supervision training CSTD 2020
  • One to one experience in private practice and group experience within organisations.

My background in drama and the creative arts as well as my travels around the world and brief Tai-chi practice very much inform my approach to therapy.  I was born in South Africa surrounded by a variety of cultures, faith beliefs and world views.  I am open for you to share your faith (be it Christian or any other), spirituality and worldviews in the sessions if you like, as they can offer support and impact upon our struggles within life's journey. Equally this may not be something you need to share as part of our therapy work.

I have had experience with clients of all ages, my current private practice focuses on work with over 18's. Clients I have worked with come to share their desire for connectedness and growth and expression.  Some have shared the added challenges that things like living with anxiety, mental health struggles, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or physical disabilities.
