About me

I help people who are feeling stuck in some way and struggling to express this or find they are feeling limited in how to relate to the world around them. Together we can work to help you find a deeper sense of connection, acceptance and understanding of yourself and the world around you.

The therapy journey can be a challenging and incredibly life affirming or transformational one. I am here to hold a safe space for you along that journey, but ultimately it is you who is responsible for the transformation that takes place.

We can work together both verbally and creatively with a variety of materials, music and movement to explore and help uncover, recover and integrate aspects of your emotional, physical, cognitive, social and spiritual self. If you are not able to express your self verbally we can focus in on the creative expression to give voice to your journey.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Private practitioner with ADMP UK since 2011
  • MA Dance Movement Psychotherapy 2011
  • Supervision training CSTD 2019/2020
  • One to one experience in private practice and group experience within organisations.

My background in drama and the creative arts as well as my travels around the world and brief Tai chi practice very much inform my approach to therapy. I was born in South Africa and had a varied and eclectic Christian upbringing. I believe it is important that you feel you can share your faith (be it Christian or other) and spirituality in the sessions if you like. It can offer support and impact upon our struggles within life's journey. Equally, this may not be something that is an issue to you and need not be part of our therapy work.

I have had experience with clients of all ages, but within private practice primarily work with over 18's. Clients I have worked with come to share their desire for connectedness and growth and expression.  Some have shared the added challenges that things like living with mental health struggles, autism, ADHD, learning difficulties or physical disabilities may bring.

Further information

Sometimes what we need is to be heard, to have someone acknowledge and reflect our experience back to us.  You know what it is you need to heal, you have the answers within you. I am here to hold a safe space for you to remember how to hear, express and trust your inner wisdom.
