I work as a Person Centred Counsellor and qualified Person Centred Supervisor from my home address.
I try my best to offer a service that believes in the person centred approach of 'being' with the client and not 'telling' them what to do, but helping them to find their own solutions and use their personal power, which is often sadly reduced at times of crisis.
I am qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Counsellor and this approach can be helpful for some people which is fine by me.
I am retired from full-time work as a social worker for Leicester City Council, and very much enjoy working part-time from home. I live with my husband and 'Paddie' my cocker spaniel dog whom I adore!
Training, qualifications & experience
BA Hons History, Dip in Social Work, Dip in CBT, Dip in Person Centred Counselling, Dip in Person Centred Supervision.
I undertook both courses in Person Centred Counselling at Teminos Counselling and Psychotherapy Centre in Sheffield which I very much enjoyed.
I have been practising from home for about ten years now as well as offering training at Leicester University and the Open University.
