About me
From a young age, I found purpose in music. First as a violinist and later as a music therapist, I discovered how music can create connections and bring compassion. In 2008, I graduated with a master’s degree in music therapy in Belgium. Over the years, I’ve witnessed and experienced how music can open us to explore our emotions, navigate conflicts, and find meaning in our lives.
My psychotherapy approach is music-centered, offering clients a space to engage with their inner world through sound. I believe that music is a powerful tool for personal growth, providing opportunities to uncover answers, work through challenges, and reconnect with what matters most.
In my practice, I focus on deep listening, where the selected music we engage with helps uncover emotions, challenge patterns, and create movement where things might have felt stagnant. There’s no need for any prior musical skills, our work focuses on how music can support personal growth through reflection and creative exploration. I am committed to providing a safe, inclusive space where you feel heard and supported.
I value the neurodiversity of our community and embrace the richness of different identities. I aim to create a respectful, inclusive space where each person feels truly heard and supported.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an HCPC registered music therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals in both the UK and Belgium. Holding a Master’s degree in Music Therapy from LUCA School of Arts (2008), I also have specialised training in Music and Imagery (2018).
I offer music therapy for adults, providing a safe and supportive space to explore emotions, thoughts, and life challenges. Whether dealing with stress, anxiety, or life transitions, I use music as a tool to help clients reconnect with themselves, express difficult emotions, and gain new insights. My approach is built on deep music listening and creative exploration, helping clients process their experiences in a meaningful and authentic way. I also have experience working with young people who have self-excluded from mainstream education, supporting them in processing trauma and reconnecting with their full potential.
I am a member of the British Association for Music Therapy and the Association for Music and Imagery. These memberships reflect my commitment to ethical practice and staying connected with ongoing professional development in the field of music therapy.
