I am a dance movement psychotherapist and clinical supervisor based in South East London. I offer individual and group sessions to adults and adolescents. Sessions can be offered both in person and online (depending on individual preferences and my availabilities).
Dance Movement Psychotherapy offers you the opportunity to take time and space for yourself, tune in to your inner sensations and feelings, and explore them creatively. It is a space where you can be seen and heard, with no judgment and no pressure to be right or wrong. Movement Psychotherapy can be offered short term or long term depending on individual needs. No previous experience of movement or body work is necessary.
My therapeutic approach is integrative drawing mainly from humanistic, gestalt and attachment theories.
In the therapy session I create a safe, warm and empathic environment where people are invited to connect with their bodies at their own pace. Verbal reflections are combined, where appropriate, with bringing awareness to the body, attention to bodily sensations and invitation of spontaneous movements. I also work creatively using different props, music and other art material to tailor and support the process of self-discovery. I consider each client the expert of their own personal therapeutic journey and I adapt the way I work to meet each individual where they are.
I offer sessions in English and Italian.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified in Dance Movement Psychotherapy (MA) at Roheampton University in 2017, and I completed the one year Diploma in Creative Approaches to Supervision at the London Centre for Psychodrama in 2021.
