About me
I have been involved in therapeutic work with adults and children for over 20 years.
Personal life experiences have taught me a deeper understanding of how childhood experiences impact on our adult lives and my interest in how people relate to each other, how implicit messages are conveyed and the outcomes or response they elicit developed as my knowledge, both academic and experiential of narcissistic personality traits increased. I now offer a specialised service to clients who have experienced relationship abuse with a narcissistic personality type.
Before training in counselling I worked as a therapeutic foster carer looking after children from newborn up to 16 years and also provided support to parents with children who presented with challenging behaviour, developmental delays and anxiety. Over these years I developed an understanding of trauma and attachment and I continue to add to my knowledge.
I now work as a trauma and attachment informed therapist integrating different modalities to suit the individual. I offer a client focused method tailored to suit the individual and their needs including WALKEASE which is a unique approach taking therapy out of the therapy room and into the open air.
