About me

I have been involved in therapeutic work with adults and children for over 10 years.
Before counselling I was a foster carer looking after children from newborns up to 16 years and also worked supporting parents with challenging behaviour presented by their children.

I have delivered training and presentations to help other foster carers understand the needs of children who have experienced trauma and those with attachment disorders. I also have a good understanding of caring for children on the ASD and with sensory integration issues.

I have my own adult children and two teenagers formerly foster children.

I work as a trauma and attachment informed therapist integrating different modalities to suit the individual. I offer a client focused method tailored to suit the individual and their needs including WALKEASE which is a unique approach taking therapy out of the therapy room and into the open air. Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
