About me
Hello, my name is Eleanor.
As a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor, I help individuals manage the challenges and impacts that can arise in life, these may be how you feel about yourself, relationship difficulties, substance use and many more.
I am a member and work in line with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with an integrative approach, combining a variety of therapeutic techniques and specialities to ensure that each individuals needs are tailored to suit you.
I offer a non-judgmental, confidential space for you to share and explore what is going on for you, I believe providing this safe space can enhance one’s understanding of themselves, the people and world around them.
I believe that finding the right therapist for you is fundamental for building a therapeutic relationship. I offer a 15 minute free telephone call. This allows you to share information surrounding what you are looking for from therapy and ask any questions you may have.
Next Steps
You can contact me via the email listed at the bottom of this page. I will aim to respond within 24 hours, after which we can arrange an initial 15 minute phone conversation.
This call is you an opportunity to share information about what you’re looking for from therapy and ask any questions you may have.
Following this we can discuss if we would like to move forward. We will look at availability and arrange a time for an initial session. From there, we can plan and agree sessions moving forward.
Experience
Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of working with individuals who are currently in prison and have extensive background of substance misuse and addiction. I have also worked in schools, providing support to the students.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I am currently offering online sessions, face-to-face will be commencing in due course.

I offer short and long term therapy, with the sole focus of listening to and supporting you. The length of any course of therapy varies from person to person and so this is something we would aim to assess in the consultation and first session.
