About me
Unless you work in the therapy field yourself, you are not expected to know lots about the different therapies and therapists on offer, and trying to figure out which might serve you best can be a mysterious and daunting task.
Clinical Psychologists such as myself are trained broadly in many different theories and therapies which enables us to, i) offer high quality assessments that consider the different biological, social and psychological factors that affect your mental health, and ii) to recommend a shortlist of safe and effective therapy options that are best suited to your needs.
Identifying your individual needs and therapy preferences are significant steps in you finding your path forward with a therapy professional. Another important step to you gleaning the best results from therapy is finding a therapist that you 'click with', who fosters a sense of safety and trust for you. Please know that it is normal and very acceptable to try different therapists until you find the one that feels a good fit for you.
Many therapists including myself offer a free and no-obligation 20 minute video call to explore whether you feel encouraged by what I have to offer you.
If we agree to proceed further with an assessment and/or therapy, we want the time we spend together to be most helpful to you. We would make a point to circle back to this question of 'is this clicking' for you as well as tracking your progress toward your goals as the work together unfolds.
My hopes are that I can support you to access an understanding of yourself that adds clarity, hope and empowerment toward your goals moving forward.
I work with children (+5 years), adolescents, and adults, either online or in-person based in Chalfont St Peter.
Sessions are usually 50 minutes.
Please feel free to make an enquiry and request that first call. I will get back to you with my availability as soon as I can.
