Elainer Kerstin - Reg MBACP (Lavender Counselling Services)
Scott Bader Innovation Centre
Welcome, I hope that my profile explains what I am able to offer you, please contact me if you would like to discuss your needs or have any questions.
Our thoughts, feelings and experiences can become overwhelming at times. I can offer you the opportunity to feel heard and understood in a warm and friendly manner in a safe and peaceful environment. This will enable you to explore and manage your emotions, allowing you to work towards resolving issues and beneficial change.
HOW COUNSELLING MAY HELP YOU
Perhaps you are suffering from anxiety or depression, grieving after a bereavement or have suffered a different kind of loss. Maybe work place stress is having a detrimental effect on your well-being or you are having relationship problems? You may be experiencing health issues, chronic pain or have unresolved issues that you would like to explore?
Sometimes we just cannot identify the reasons that are making us feel this way, exploring the past and present may bring awareness and understanding.
Counselling is a safe, confidential place to offload, express and process your feelings in a way that may not be available to you at the moment, this may allow you to feel less alone or isolated. My belief that our emotional health can affect our physical health allows me to look at the whole picture and perhaps suggest coping strategies. This is supported by research and may affect a range of issues including anxiety, panic attacks and even pain.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work with adults as a Person Centred Counsellor in Northamptonshire working with a wide range of issues but especially anxiety, stress, work related issues, depression and trauma. I treat all of my clients with empathy, respect and without judgement offering the best possible support at all times. My counselling room is very comfortable, welcoming and situated on the ground floor in a quiet and peaceful location with plenty of free parking.
YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT
Your initial assessment will be free of charge with no obligation, as I feel it is important to trust and feel comfortable with your counsellor and have confidence that working together may be therapeutic for you. This appointment allows us to meet and discuss what it is you would like and need from counselling.
Adults - over 18
I offer short and long term personal, private counselling in my office at Wollaston offering a safe, warm and supportive approach.
I also offer Employeee Support - working with organisations and schools offering counselling and emotional support to staff. This allows employees to explore work related and personal issues thus supporting and promoting well being. This has shown to significantly reduce staff absences.
