About me

If you would like support to overcome anxiety, depression, challenging life events, relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement or any other personal issue perhaps you would like to discuss how counselling might help.

I work in a non judgemental way with honesty and acceptance allowing clients to explore what changes they may like to make. I have fifteen years experience of working with a full range of issues with a wide range of clients from young people, individuals, couples and older people.

I am an integrative counsellor using psycho dynamic and person centred therapies incorporating Counselling for Depression and mindfulness based cognitive therapy.

I have a private practice in Hitchin where there is ample parking and a local bus service. I also work for two other local organisation in Letchworth and Stevenage.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a CPCAB Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am a BACP accredited counsellor working to BACP ethical standards.

I have fifteen years experience of working as a counsellor and continue professional developmental activities to update my skills.

I have recently achieved the Counselling for Depression qualification from the University of Nottingham.

I have also recently undertaken refresher training with Autism Matters, looking at the latest thinking around  working with Autism.

I have five years experience of working with GP referrals from the NHS and similarly five years experience of working within an Employee Assistance Programme.
