About me
I am based in Manchester and I specialise in relationship issues and sexual problems.
I help couples and individuals achieve greater intimacy, confidence and well-being in their relationships. I work face-to-face and online.
Maybe things have changed between you and your partner due to stress, ill-health, children, ageing or the menopause? Maybe you're wondering what happened to the passion of your early relationship? Are you worried about loss of desire or mismatched libidos?
Are you struggling with your own or your partner's porn addiction? Or finding it seemingly impossible to recover from infidelity?
Is your partner turning away from you and you don't know why? Has communication become a problem?
I understand how difficult it can be to talk about these things and I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your problems. I can promise you compassion and good humour. It doesn't matter if you are 18 or 80, gay, straight, non-binary, or non-monogamous; everyone deserves the best chance for happy relationships.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified as an integrative counsellor in 2018, and my main modality is Person-Centred. I worked for several years specialising in anxiety and all its forms using a variety of tools and techniques, including CBT and mindfulness. I find this work still very relevant.
More recently ,I have moved into sex and relationship therapy. I have completed a PGDip in Psychosexual therapy and have NHS experience of working with couples and individuals experiencing a wide variety of sexual issues such as difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, ejaculation problems, lack of desire, difficulty achieving orgasm, painful sex, and sexual identity issues.
I am currently still a student member of COSRT (College of Sex and Relationship Therapists) due to a hiccup in the process of awarding me my certificate. So book early, my prices will rise once I am a full member!
I have also studied Imago therapy, the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
