About me

Not sleeping, having nightmares, flashbacks, feeling restless and irritable, fidgety, tearful, experiencing mood swings, feeling afraid for no reason, avoiding going out or being in crowded places, tired all the time, can't relax?  Experiencing upsetting thoughts and memories from your past?  These can be some of the symptoms that you might experience and which I can help with.  I feel by understanding your symptoms better and learning ways in which you can manage them can help you to feel more relaxed and be able to enjoy the company of other people and look towards the future rather than feel trapped by memories of your past.

I work with chronic anxiety and/or trauma in early life and I can help you by talking through and explaining more about the brain/mind/body and how it reacts to trauma or anxiety provoking situations.  This can be done within six sessions but I also offer longer term work if you feel you want to explore it in more depth.

Please get in touch with me for an initial chat to discuss the process in more detail and we can talk through your problems and see how we both feel about working together.  Sessions can be arranged either in person, on the phone or via video link - I use Teams which I find useful as I can upload information directly for you to have a read through.  During that initial session, we can talk about how many sessions would be helpful for you and we can plan what we want to focus on.  This can be reviewed regularly if working longer term to ensure we are working on what you feel you need support with.
