About me

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where together we can explore the challenges affecting your mental well being. My integrative approach is informed by psychodynamic and humanistic perspectives, incorporating elements of mindful awareness, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), internal family systems, existential psychotherapy and trauma informed care.

I have an interest in working with anxiety, depression, nervous system dysregulation, and how early trauma can affect us in our adult life, especially in our relationships. I also have experience working with neurodivergent clients and supporting their individual needs. Additionally, I work with people who are moving to a new country, helping them navigate the emotional challenges of transition and adjustment. Having experienced what it’s like to be new to a different country myself, I bring a personal understanding to this work.

My work is relational, meaning that I place great importance on the connection between us within the therapeutic process. I believe that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is key to fostering trust, safety, and understanding. By building a genuine, empathic connection, we can explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences more openly, enabling deeper self-awareness, connection and growth. Through this relationship, we can also explore past patterns in relationships and gain insight into how these may influence current experiences. Ultimately, I believe that it is through this relational dynamic that meaningful change can occur.

I have a background in education and in the wellness sector, and this allows me to intuitively and empathically support clients facing challenges, in an inclusive and accepting space.

I offer both open ended and short term therapy for adults. Please send me an email if you would like to schedule an introductory session. I work with clients in person and online.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
