About me

Hi, I'm Eirini, a professional psychotherapist based in London and online.

Often individuals believe that their issue is not "worthy" of receiving the attention of the therapist, but this is never the case. I am here to offer you a safe, calm, confidential, non-judgmental space, and listen to whatever you want to bring into therapy, no matter how serious or benign you might be finding it.

I am very mindful of issues that might come up from either a chronic disability or condition, or an unexpected injury or accident, for you or your family/friends. I am here to help you deal with the emotional side of these difficulties, and what living with them might mean for your sense of self and well-being.

Get in Touch -  please do not hesitate to contact me in order to book a first session, where you can begin to access the support you need and deserve, especially at the strange times that we are all currently going through.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (ongoing)
  • Psychotherapy and Counselling MA
  • Psychology BSc
  • Family Support Specialist Training
  • Internal Family Systems Specialist Training

I have been working as a psychotherapist in the past three years, supporting individuals of all ages who have been going through issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, PTSD, family and relationship pressures, as well as chronic pain and disability.

Besides psychotherapy, I have a 10-year-long mentoring experience, mostly helping young individuals deal with school, university, and family pressures.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

- chronic pain
- university stress
- school stress
- academic and/or work pressures and stress
- cultural and identity issues.

In addition, I am very aware of issues that might arise for you as a result of living in a multicultural environment such as London, especially if you or your family have come from a different country, or even town. Besides isolation and loneliness, you might be facing certain confusion in understanding the different cultural aspects that make up your identity. As a bilingual counsellor who holds dual citizenship, I feel that I am qualified to walk beside you in this experience, and help you make sense of it.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
