About me

Life can be painful, confusing and challenging at times. I am an experienced and qualified CBT therapist, counsellor, complementary therapist and meditation tutor. I love being a therapist and love supporting a person through a difficult time. I work privately in Dunfermline (Angelite Therapy), offering a confidential safe space for you to explore issues in your life so you can find some clarity and hope. I use a Pluralistic approach, an integrative style that uses many different techniques to suit the individual. I offer short term or long term therapy to suit the individual.  It is a client focused approach where we work together on your goals. I am here to listen to you, respect you and hold your pain for a while. I do not claim to be the expert on your life, I assist you in helping yourself, believing that you can recover. The therapy uses a range of theory and techniques; counselling, PCT, CBT, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused, ACT and Solution focused. Counselling and therapy can help a client with many issues including; addiction, grief/loss, relationship problems, anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, PTSD, post-natal depression, low self-esteem, and many more.

Ethos at Angelite Therapy

I want to support you in finding serenity, inner peace and a sense of calm. When you feel stressed, anxious, depressed, confused, angry, ashamed or overwhelmed - counselling can help. Counselling encourages self-development, self-awareness, self-love, self-esteem and forgiveness. I specialise in all-round holistic therapy. I like to treat the person as a whole -  mind, body and spirit. I gently guide you on the road to recovery from mental, emotional, physical and spiritual issues or pain. I help you - to help yourself.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
