I am a fully qualified and experienced Relationship and Psychosexual Therapist. I provide individual and couples counselling and psychosexual therapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I have considerable experience of working with married, co-habiting, single, gay and straight clients either together as couples or individually. Further information

Couple Counselling is more complex and demanding than counselling individuals, and requires specialised training, skills and experience that not all counsellors possess. A good couple counsellor does not take sides, or apportion blame, but helps the couple communicate more effectively and gain a deeper understanding of the subtleties and complexities of their relationship. Couple counselling can also help with a range of sexual problems.

Sex therapy (or psychosexual therapy) uses the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to help resolve sexual problems. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy has a structured approach to dealing with anxiety in stages.
It allows clients to look at their own unhelpful thinking and employs graduated exercises in desensitisation and exposure to help people face their fears and anxieties. Cognitive means awareness (of your thoughts and feelings) and Behavioural (in this context) means following a treatment plan specifically tailored to individual or couples' needs made up of exercises to do in the privacy of their own homes.
