Edyta Drozd, MBACP, MA, Dip. Coun.,
I am a trained professional and I practice from a private consulting room, set in West Norwood.
I offer safe, confidential and respectful space which enables my client to concentrate on their feelings, think about the past and plan for the future. I think that finding a counsellor or psychotherapist who is able to understand can feel daunting and beginning therapy is a huge decision to make. Well done for getting so far – please keep reading.
My approach is integrative and I believe that each person is unique in the way that they experience life with its dilemmas, conflicts, traumas, desires, dreams, hopes and aspirations. I aim to bring understanding of your issues and relief of emotional distress.
During sessions we might explore the past and how that affects the present and/or choose to work on current issues like: how to get the most fulfillment from work, how to develop and sustain happy relationships or be more assertive, etc.. I am also experienced in working with intercultural issues connected to immigration and family separation.
The first session usually consists of an assessment of needs and a chat about how I work.
I offer short and long term counselling.
