About me

I offer a comprehensive service of psychological assessments & therapy for children, young people, families, couples & adults of all ages. Addressing a wide range of problems with a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT, Brief Solution focussed therapy, DBT & EMDR, tailored to individual needs. I also hold an MSc in Nutrition. I have a wealth of experience working with children and young people and adults across  a wide range of specialities. I have also been head of services and a clinical manager supervising colleauges and overseeing service development.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a Clinical Psychologist and hold a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Surrey. More recently I completed an MSc in Nutrition, Food Science and Health as I have a special interest in nutrition and its impact on mental health and overall wellbeing.

My experience in clinical psychology spans over 20 years. I started my career in 1994 and qualified in 1997 in Ireland.

I have an informal, compassion focussed style using a range of therapies including Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and EMDR.

I have worked in a wide range of services from pre-school to adults in both public and private sectors including CAMHS, Paediatrics, Specialist ADHD, ASD, and LAC teams and educational psychology services.

I have also worked in Adult Mental Health services including IAPT, Adult Psychiatric Liaison, Adult Learning Disability services, Forensic services, Eating Disorders (pre-adolescent to bariatric services), Neuro rehab inpatient and community services. I have also held senior positions including Head of Psychology for ADHD, Head in Forensic services and Clinical manager in Social Care.  I have also had my research published in an academic journal.

        My hourly fee is £150 per hour for assessment and therapy. For medico-legal reports, the fee ranges from £150 to £225 per hour depending on the type of case. Typically, criminal and civil assessments cost £150 per hour and family law matters cost £225 per hour.

        Most health insurers are accepted except Axa. Clients need to obtain a pre-authorisation code from their insurer prior to an appointment being offered. Clients are responsible for any shortfall in their level of cover.
