About me
Hello and welcome. I know the bravery that it takes to admit that something in your life is too big a challenge to manage yourself, and the level of trust needed to open up to another human being.
My counselling offers a solution through a trusting and confidential process of exploration and reflection, led by you but supported by me and my professional training and experience.
I know from personal experience the incredible effect that the counselling process can have, supporting you to turn vulnerability into self-knowledge, empowerment and ultimately changing your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
As your counsellor I will be using techniques from Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy and Gestalt therapy, with some mindfulness added in. We will explore your challenges in my room at the Devon Clinic, a safe and confidential space within a building designed for mental health professionals. You will be equipped with counselling tools that you can use in between sessions.
I hold a level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, having trained at Step by Step Counselling College in Newton Abbot. This included 100 hours of placement counselling at Age UK and at the Shekinah centre in Torquay.
My other qualification include:
- PGCE Secondary Maths
- PGCIE
- BA in Music from the University of East Anglia
