About us

Hello! I am a qualified Clinical Psychologist experienced in working with adults, children and families using a wide range of psychological approaches. I work one to one with adults and children of all ages offering evidence based therapy for a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties. Life can be a challenge for most of us at times for lots of different reasons. Accessing the right support can help you to thrive and improve your emotional 'wellness'.

I am passionate about supporting you to reach your full potential and 'thrive' in life. I can help you to understand and make sense of what might be going on for you as an individual, and/or your child/ren and family. I am compassionate, non-judgemental, professional whilst being 'down to earth' and easy to talk to.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am qualified to Doctoral level with a Clinical Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Birmingham. I am registered with the HCPC. I hold further training and qualifications in a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, ACT, CBT, Mindfulness, DDP, Theraplay and many others. I previously worked for 20 years within the NHS, Local Authority and charity sectors before moving fully into private practice.

I work with individual mental health issues including trauma, anxiety, depression and self esteem in both adults and children. I also offer support to parents and families who have concerns about the emotional well-being of their family.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
