About me
With 25 of qualified experience in mental health, I can offer an expert assessment that helps you understand fully what is going on for you. I can then offer a bespoke therapeutic approach specifically geared around your needs whilst making this experience as easy and as comfortable as possible. I draw from my skills in a range of therapeutic approaches which include include Compassionate Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as more traditional approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
The aim is to help you move forward with your life with a greater understanding of your experiences and the way they have shaped you. Importantly you will also have a greater understanding of your strengths as well as access to tools that you can use in the future as you navigate life's ups and downs.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

With over 20 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist in a range of settings, I have listened to many people talk of their experiences. I believe in first providing a compassionate safe space where people feel comfortable sharing their issues. Even if talking is difficult for you I will try and make the process easier by structuring the sessions so that we can figure out how to help you. The first and most important aspect of my work is offering a warm and non-judgemental space to try and help you and then agreeing together a way to help you move forwards.
