Dorothy Davis Reg MBACP (Accred), MSc., PGCE.
Queens Garden Business Centre
I am an integrative counsellor and accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Registered Member MBACP (Accred). I have experience of seeing clients in various settings including, NHS, university, a mental health charity and private practice.
I offer therapy sessions to adults who wish to work on issues, including anxiety, depression, stress management, low confidence and self-esteem. I also offer counselling to students who require therapy as part of their counselling course.
It depends on the individual needs of each client as to how many sessions may be helpful - this can be discussed at our first meeting. Short term-counselling is often 6-12 sessions and may be helpful for well-defined issues. For long-standing emotional difficulties long-term work may be needed. I am happy to work with both short-term and long-term clients.
The initial consultation is FREE and without obligation for the first half hour, enabling us to find out more about one another.
I am insured and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. My BACP Registration No. is 041515
