About me

If you are looking for a professional therapist to listen to what you have to bring into the session. Working alongside you in a non-judgmental, warm, welcoming way then I may be able to help you.

I work by emphasising the personal worth of the individual in order to try to overcome hardship, pain and despair.  I also work by focusing on the individual's relationships, their place in society and past experiences in relation to filtering out the individual's beliefs from others that they may have taken on board through their developing years.

The individual develops an understanding of self and for what they stand for and what they believe in.  The aim is to develop an actual, true sense of self.  The individual gains self-awareness and clarity of who they are and they acknowledge that they are a very valid and valuable individual in their own right.

I believe that all of us have the ability to move forward, despite whatever the challenges perceived, given the right environment and support

Most people come to counselling feeling anxious and making this first nerve wracking step is often the most difficult thing to do.  Please feel free to email, call or text me if you would like to have an initial assessment session over phone or via video to discuss what you want to bring to session and find out if we can work together.

I work over the telephone, face to face and over the internet, providing a safe, confidential, warm and welcoming environment for you to discuss what is going on for you.

I also offer flexible timings including evenings

I have extensive experience working with bereavement and also a wide range of clients and a wide range of difficulties that affect people personally.

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I am also an Accredited Member of The National Counselling Society.

Since 2014 I have worked with Cruse Bereavement as a Bereavement Volunteer.  Also most recently as a Supervisor for other BV's.
