About me
I'm Donna, a therapeutic counsellor and creative soul. I'm here to support you through life's challenges, changes and the messy bits in between.
I work online and by telephone with clients across the UK and also offer in person sessions from my counselling room in Farsley, Leeds West Yorkshire.
I know from my own experience just how challenging and overwhelming life can feel at times.
Perhaps you are struggling to cope with difficult feelings and emotions following a bereavement, loss or change in your circumstances? Or it may be that you are finding it difficult to manage feelings of stress and anxiety which is starting to affect your confidence and self esteem.
You could be unsure what is wrong, but know that things 'just don't feel right'.
How I can help
I can help by providing you with a ‘breathing space’, some regular time just for you, where you can explore the issues that are causing life to feel difficult. Together we can look at ways to help ease your situation.
I have a naturally warm and calm approach which will help you to relax, your sessions are a safe and confidential space where you can be yourself and discuss your thoughts and feelings without being judged.
Counselling support can help you to gain insight and a deeper understanding of yourself, enabling you to build your resilience and feel more confident as you face life’s challenges going forward.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
